June 15 - Re-Review of 'To This Day' - by: Shane Koyczan -Re-Read and review Poem & Handout Overview & Discussion - from Friday June 12. 

*If students do not have their copies a few extra labelled at the front.

Students viewed the performance of the poem and worked to complete a work package on Friday June 12 - thus - questions below are a review. 

First Task - Any students who DID NOT finish their To This Day Poem Package from Friday - they need to do so first and foremost once laptops are handed out - Task 2. Jace has his at the front.

  • Further Class Discussion Questions - For Monday - June 15 - by TTOC - 
    • What lines or moments in the poem stood out to you? Why?
    • How does Shane Koyczan use tone, rhythm, and imagery to emphasize his message?
    • What emotions did you feel while watching the video?

  • What is the poem’s message/theme? Student’ lives, school culture, and broader societal issues?
